			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We all remember was a swing play in the garden as a child, the impossible challenge of bars, dare your friends that the summit was first reached in our youth seems to be capable of something as simple as a network of bars metal jet in a fictitious country imagery could talk for hours. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you want to stay healthy and fit over 40, then you need to have a  fitness routine that works for you. The best way to do that is to use some solid guidlines to ensuring that you get the best from each of your fitness workouts, and then go out and do them. In this article, I will give you five steps on how to make your exercise routines work for you.</p>
<p>1. Unless you&#8217;re already fit and healthy get a medical and start off gently.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s no point in jumping into a fitness routine if you have some medical condition without consulting your physician or doctor. Because you could make your condition worse without realising it. If you&#8217;re already healthy, but haven&#8217;t done any fitness workouts for a while then you should start gradually, because otherwise you could injure yourself. And then give up completely on the idea of getting fit and healthy</p>
<p>2. Exercise at high intesity.</p>
<p>If you perform your fitness workouts at the level to where your breathing is making you struggle to hold a converstion with someone, but not to the point where you&#8217;re gasping or panting for breath, then your&#8217;re working out at about the right level of intesity. This will make your whole body grow stronger and thereby increase your level of health and fitness.</p>
<p>3. Set a regular weekly schedule for your exercise routines.</p>
<p>The reccomemded frequency to workout is 3-5 sessions per week. However, studies indicate that you could go as low as 2 good fitness workouts per week, and still get and maintain a good level of fitness over 40. Also, the latest studies suggest that short and intense exercise routines are more beneficial than long drawn out workouts.</p>
<p>4. Make exercise a regular part of your weekly and yearly schedule.</p>
<p>It is far more beneficial for you to do two or three short sessions of fitness exercises, fourty to fifty weeks of the year, than jump onto the latest Hollywood fitness routines for a week or so every six months.</p>
<p>5. Find the fitness workouts that suit you.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s no point you using the exercise routines of a marathon runner, if you don&#8217;t intend to enter and run marathons. Nor follow the trainging program of a bodybuilder unless you want to look like a bodybuilder.</p>
<p>If you follow these steps, you&#8217;ll be able to start on your road to fitness over 40 right away!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As Americans we are constantly bombarded with the newest diet fad, diet plan and can find a slew of diet &#8220;tips&#8221; online. How do we know what works and what does not? In the 1980&#8242;s the craze was to go to the &#8220;meetings&#8221; where all the people sat around and talked about food. Then the &#8220;experts&#8221; (formerly students themselves on the plan) weighed you in front of everyone and you recorded it all in your journal that you toted around with you everywhere you went. No one talked about metabolic rate or fat to burn ratios because that simply wasn&#8217;t in &#8220;the plan&#8221;. </p>
<p>Then came the cards. Depending on the fad diet you were following you might have had colored cards (eat 5 green item cards and 2 blue) today or you were moving cards from the right side of the book to the left side of the book and when you ran out of cards you simply stopped eating for the day.     </p>
<p>In the 1990&#8242;s the fad was the weight loss clinic. Every &#8220;counselor&#8221; was more like a sales person that was concerned on how long it would take you to lose weight and based your cost on time not real progress. So for 100 pounds of weight loss it would take you 1 year and $2300. Then you got a book of approved foods and were told to keep a journal that would come in with you once a week for 52 weeks where you would be weighed and your journal evaluated. Sounds a lot like the &#8220;meeting&#8221; only the person behind the desk wore scrubs and seemed a bit more official.   </p>
