I agree with this video, and I thank you for deciding to address this issue. We have to get it together honey-I included. I know how it is to have friends and family discourage your weight loss goals; and a few that hate too honey. You just got stick to your goals and not allow anyone/body to deter you. It is about your prolonging your life too. I cannot understand how we in the black community believe that all that extra weight is cute. No, no, no its not we have to take care of our temples.

I do not understand why when a person ask you out the first thing they want to do is go out to eat. There are other activities you can do besides eat each time, change it up.I am a vegetarian but I ate chicken up until May08,& the crockpot has been my friend b/c you can do so many things without all the work, so that way you will lessen the thought of wanting to buy processed foods.Natural is always the way, Kings&Queens should always be natural even down to the toothpaste and deodorant.

commenter

Well fiest, one of the best things we can do is get back to as close to natural as we can. You dont have to buy all organic all the time. Work your way up to it but most importantly get away from anything that was cooked out of your sight or processed. Including bread, drinks, canned goods processed foods (ESPECIALLY PROCESSED FOODS) they are deficient, you know what? I need to do an entire video. Running out of commenting space

So what are the lists of addictive foods? It’s like everything you say we buy has some sort of bad in it. I understand what you are saying as far as the FDA not reporting all of theses hormones and agents put in our food, but at the same time, not everyone has the budget to buy all organic and raise chickens in the backyard. I’m not trying to be a smart ass, but what are we to do and how do we get correct information about all the additives in food?

Good talk for the wimminz. There are too many chicks that are too worried about getting too thin and there are too many wimminz that are too apathetic about staying healthy.

U’re totally right :-)

I loved your response to your phone call!!!

and it’s not a thyroid problem? I had a thyroid problem, or at least what I understood were ther sympts for a thyroid prob. I took Kombu seaweed (kelp) because it contains an astronomical amt of iodine as well as an abundance of other minerals. Next time you’re in a health fd store, pick up a bag and read the mineral contact. it is in the 1000% realm.
Exercise is key for most of us.

commenter

I agree with you 100%. This is a great and HONEST vlog!

Miel, I think my metabolism is damaged from the months after my surgery where I wasnt eating and was sedentary. I was getting probably 500 calories a day. Then I started eating waffles. BAD combination. Right now my biggest issue is I don’t exercise. I still eat a fairly vegetarian diet except for the few days I may crave chicken or salmon. My metabolic type doesnt do well on starch & vegetables, & I cant eat veggies alone. I do best on larger amount of proteins little grain and lotsa veggies.

Actually no we cannot just “eat what we want.” Some foods have addictive agents placed in them so that once we introduce them into our bodies we CAN’T stop. I have a sneaky feeling that corn syrup is addicting. As well as some thing they put in refined flour. Ordinary pizza cheese has growth hormones in it which promote tumor growth

We are at war Feist, and we are the only ones looking out for ourselves. Some foods MUST be avoided until withdrawal is over.

I HAD to respond to this too. You can eat what you want, but do it in moderation. If you want pizza eat it, just don’t “pig” out on it and incorporate healthy foods too.

You are not exaggerating about losing friends. The good news is that the so-called friends that you lose you don’t need anyway. For some reason people around you can feel threatened if you are improving yourself or your life. Many are jealous. It is almost as if they are worried over what their new role will be in your new “thin” life. Don’t listen to them—they will just try to drag you back to your old “fat” ways.

How tall are you? What did you do or eat to get to 200 lbs? what did you eat the day before yesterday, yesterday and so far today. What is your favorite active past-time. and what should your weight be for your age and height?
