There are all types of athletes around the world, but one type that separates himself from all the others is the super athlete. This type of athlete is the person who is willing to give it his all each and every single time and is constantly pushing himself in order to reach better and faster results. He will never quit and is almost never satisfied, as he understand that there is always something he can do a little better. We can learn a lot from the ways these athletes train and just by using a couple of their techniques and mindsets when it comes to hitting the gym, we can greatly increase the results we reach with our training programs.
The first thing these types of people do is that they hit the gym several times a week. Most of these guys are training 3-6 times a week and this allows them to build a lot of momentum and create a snowball effect that gives them unbelievable results. When they see these results and realize that they are constantly getting stronger and better, their motivation levels increase and they work even harder.
These power athletes also have a great understanding of how they should set goals that really push them and seem achievable at the same time. They don’t pick goals that are too easy nor do they pick goals that simply are unheard of, they might have a vision of reaching “impossible” levels of fitness, but their goals are slightly beneath that level.
They then chunk their goals into smaller goals and set up a lot of weekly and daily goals. By doing this they will always know whether they are getting closer or further away from their end target and will adjust their course accordingly.
Last but not least these kinds of athletes live and breathe for the gym. When they wake up they immediately think about going to the gym and pushing themselves is far as their bodies can possibly go. They don’t see going to the gym as work or something painful. They see it as a testing ground where they can constantly test themselves and improve upon their previous feats.
The see the going to the gym and working out as a privilege and when they are in the gym they don’t think about anything else than pushing themselves as much as possible.
By using some of these mindsets you can greatly increase your results in the gym.
