“and thats how u do… the… preacher…. barbell…. bicepcurl”

commenter

what i wanna know is the height of the dam chair, cuz thats probably my only issue with this workout.

commenter

@BaPkLs maing it bigger in every direction you said. That means you can make it bigger horizontally wich is ,making it thick so um what?

commenter

i been doing this wrong for a min… smh… lol

commenter

what kind of dips your doing. Dips are tricep workout. You may feel a little bit in the chest but you should feel it mostly on the triceps

commenter

yea, scooby doo

commenter

I think the form of the muscle is geneticlyy fixed. so you can’t make your bicep thick or thin or long… you can only make it bigger (in every “direction”)

commenter

you can do the same thing with your palms facing away from you. itll work the outside of the bicep.

commenter

Dips work your chest more than your triceps, they stretch the chest

commenter

scooby doo?

Chin up. Bar above you, hands shoulder width apart and take hold of the bar with your palms facing towards you. From an almost dead hang (try to limit over extending your elbow joint) pull yourself up until the bar is below your chin. Don’t strecth your chin high to get it over the bar, pull your body up to that position with you facing forward. Now lower down to start position and repeat. Try not to engage your legs in this motion as that becomes a different exercise, it shoud be arms.

Do chins, dips and pull ups to build strong, solid arms. Your bicep is a lot smaller than the tricep mucles and as such you are losing arm size by just doing curls etc which are paltry isolations.

commenter

From what i understand. Hammer curls give you a thicker bicep?
like when i stand in front of the mirror facing forwards… my biceps look kind of thin to me in width from a front view. say when i stand to the side they look good and strong. And i want that thickness or width in the bicep from a front view. are hammer curls the way to go? because all im seeing in regular curls are just the height of the bicep if you get what i mean. help?

Straight bar curls. Right now get your arms in the position to do a curl, make them a little inwards of how it would be with the EZ bar then flex your bicep. Now get your arms in the position to do a straight barbell curl, and flex, you will notice that straight barbell curls hand positioning is much better.

The only reason not to do straight barbell curls is if you have wrist/fore-arm issues. Other than that its better in many ways and has been proven. Google it if you don’t believe me :)

unfortunately I have not a preacher’s bench bcos I’m doing these at home because in my town is only one crowded gym….It’s very hard for me to do bodybuilding on my own.

commenter

EZ bar is much better for curling, tones your muscles more. I wouldnt use it for anything else though, besides powerlifting

commenter

Nice. Thanks for the video.

commenter

Great vid! I ‘ve been using the EZ bar. Would the straight bar be better? or both?
Thanks for taking the time; nice biceps!

commenter

commenter

Short but gave me everything I needed to know excellent vid :)
