Dre Baldwin: NBA Moves Workout – Two Defenders Pt 3 Training Shooting Drills DWade

www.DreAllDay.com What Y’all Asked For Vol. 21 *Facebook page updated link www.Facebook.com Twitter: www.Twitter.com Facebook Fan Page: www.facebook.com This is something that can be done off the screen-roll, double team, or in a one-on-one game situation. Once you beat your man, the help defender will slide over, at which point a quick decision is necessary depending on the situation. Of course this can also end in a pass or a drive, not always a pull-up jumper.

Dre, what do you think of streetball?

commenter

yes, elevation gives you a clearer look and easier shot. it comes with practice. i had the same issue when i first began to release at the height of my jump

commenter

i was wondering how do you elevate high above your defender like KG, kobe or mj to get of a jumpshot on a fadeaway, etc…?
because everytime i try to jump high while shooting i usually release the shot on the way down….. how do hang in the air long enough to get a clear shot over a defender??

commenter

ur knees are part of what ur body uses to dunk, and everyone’s body is different (meaning some ppl’s knees will last longer or shorter. it’s genetic). look at the choices in front of you and make a decision. there are no shortcuts

commenter

I want to dunk but I’m only 5′ 11″….. . . . Do you think there’s any exercises to do w/out killing my knees? I used to be able to touch rim (doin’ the military sit against a wall, running & wts.), but cannot palm a basketball so it may just be impossible. I’ve seen those programs advertised (DVD’s) but I don’t want to pay “mucho dinero”… . . Any advice?!

thanks i appreciate it!

I do this drill a lot, but the behind the back dribble when cutting the double team is something I have to try.
